My hike up Camel's Hump

The view atop the South "hump" looking North to the smaller "hump"

Hiker resting on the summit

My feet hanging over the edge (or at least as close as I'd get to the edge) of the South hump

The view from the edge (not for the weak of heart, or stomach)

Survey mark at the summit - notice how it says "Camel's Rump", not "Camel's Hump"?!

Back down the mountain - the view from the Long Trail heading South

Another great shot

For all of you Simpsons fans out there,
Springfield, Vermont was recently named
the hometown of the Simpsons.
I guess pretty soon all of us here in VT will be animated!

My hike up Mt Mansfield

Towards the summit. The strings help guide hikers through a maze of delicate, rare vegitation towards the top of the mountain. Piles of stones (like the one ahead) help lead the way.

Looking down on the Village of Stowe (some 4000 feet below).

The sun breaks through the morning fog on my way down.

The survey marker at the peak of the mountain.
